American Airlines posts $105 million net loss in April

American Airlines parent company, AMR Corp. reported a net loss of $105 million for April. The company’s top executives said it is a favorable sign for the future. The figures are an improvement over last April’s $142 million loss. The numbers were part of AMR’s monthly report to the U.S. Bankruptcy Court.

American Airlines is in the process of merging with Tempe-based U.S. Airways.
