Arpaio uses YouTube to respond to court order

Maricopa County Sheriff Joe Arpaio has responded -- via YouTube -- to a court order blocking his agency from conducting immigration sweeps and using race as a factor in traffic stops. The sheriff implied the failure was at the federal level.

"One hundred of my deputies were authorized and trained by the federal government, ICE, to enforce federal immigration laws. Now the federal court has ruled the federal training was unconstitutional," Arpaio said.

The federal judge's ruling was the result of a class action lawsuit brought by the ACLU regarding racial profiling of Latino drivers. In his video, Arpaio said they would appeal the ruling.
