Top 10 new species for 2013
Arizona State University has
released its top 10 new species list for 2013. The list includes a
glow-in-the-dark cockroach and the smallest vertebrate on Earth, a tiny frog. The
creatures on the list were selected by Arizona State University's International Institute for
Species Exploration. The university said the institute announces its top 10 list
each year in order to bring attention to biodiversity and the field of taxonomy.
