Maricopa Community College District Governing Board to vote on property tax levy
The governing board of the Maricopa County Community College District will vote Tuesday evening on whether to raise the property tax levy by 2 percent.For property owners, on average, this would mean a tax increase of $2.31 per $100,000 worth of assessed property. The College District also raised tuition earlier this year. Some of the additional funds would go towards hiring more full time professors and student retention.
