Radioactive Equipment Stolen In South Phoenix
Authorities said a potentially radioactive piece of construction equipment has been stolen from a south Phoenix business.
Phoenix police said a soil density meter was taken Wednesday and it contains three radioactive materials.
If the meter is broken, police say the results could be hazardous. They said it's possible the person involved in the burglary may not even know what the item is or the potential hazard it poses.
They're warning whoever may come across the equipment to not go near it and to immediately call police.
