Frozen pizzas recalled for presence of sharp, plastic parts

May 07, 2013

Here's something you don't hear everyday. Nestle is recalling some pizzas.

The company is recalling all of its frozen pizzas that have spinach on them. David McAtee of the Yavapai County Health Department says that's because clear fragments of foreign material with sharp edges have been found in the pizza.

“There was a chipped tooth, but no one’s getting really sick,” McAtee said. “It was just, they found some plastic parts in some frozen pizzas so they decided to recall the entire chain, the entire line.”

McAtee says the problem was first discovered in the California Pizz Kitchen thin crust white pizza.
