Someone broke into a Prescott taxidermist's shop last week and stole $30,000 in antlers and animal skins. Now, Prescott police are seeking the public’s help in nabbing the criminals.

Prescott Deputy Chief Amy Bonny said it’s likely the suspects knew the value of the stolen items.

“The suspect, or suspects, were very selective about what to remove from the store. And therefore, it is believed that the suspect has extensive knowledge about Arizona game animals and their value of their mounts,” she said.

One of the stolen items included a distinctive set of 232-inch Cactus Velvet mule deer antlers. Bonney said the thieves may try to sell or trade the items and hopes anyone seeing the items will contact the police.
