Police Try To ID Suspects In Pharmacy Robberies

June 25, 2014

A reward of up to $1,000 is being offered to help identify two suspects believed involved in more than a dozen armed robberies at Phoenix-area pharmacies.

Authorities say the suspects have committed 15 armed robberies at Fry's, CVS and Walgreens pharmacy locations in Chandler, Tempe, Mesa and Scottsdale between March 25 and June 22.

They say the suspects enter the business and immediately demand painkiller drugs with the threat of a weapon. In one incident, a handgun was displayed.

Authorities say about half of the robberies have occurred at pharmacy drive-through windows.
