McCain: Immigration reform bill won't make everyone happy

April 08, 2013

Arizona Senator John McCain says the 'Gang of Eight' is continuing to work on an immigration reform bill. And he told interviewers on CBS' Face the Nation what he expects will be in it.

“We need to have a path to citizenship and we need to have secure borders, and we also have to address the issue of 40 percent of the people who came here illegally, they didn’t cross our borders; they came here on a visa and overstayed their visa,” McCain said.

McCain says though the measure is not going to make everybody happy. He says everybody didn't get what they wanted.

He says business and labor have reached a compromise, despite the fact that they each have entrenched positions on the issue.
