Bisbee has become Arizona’s first town to recognize civil unions, after the city council last night approved an ordinance, on a 5-2  vote.

The Arizona attorney general has said he will sue to try and block it.

To find out more about the ordinance and what it will and will not do, KJZZ's Mark Brodie spoke with Bisbee Councilman Gene Connors, who initiated the proposal, and Jennifer Pizer of Lambda Legal, which works with gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender people.
