The Valley is becoming even more diverse as younger people of color and different backgrounds are born here and are moving here as well. That diverse population also applies to religious backgrounds and faiths.

As part of our effort to talk with a variety of community leaders, we spoke with Rabbi Shmuly Yanklowitz about Judaism and spirituality. He is the president and dean of Valley Beit Midrash. He has written op-ed columns for The New York Times and The Wall Street Journal. He’s also been listed as one of the most influential Rabbis in the U.S.
