Oakland A's sign on with Mesa

March 05, 2013

Oakland A’s fans will be going to a different ballpark for spring training in two years.

The City of Mesa approved an agreement last night that will have the A’s training at Mesa’s Hohokam Park. The Chicago Cubs train their now, but they will be moving to a new park in Mesa next year.

The A’s will then move from Phoenix to Mesa in 2015. The city and team will spend up to $20 million on improvements with the city picking up most of the costs.
