The Maricopa County Board of Supervisors will be voting on the final 2017 budget Monday morning. The tentative $2.3 billion budget received initial approval last month.

But before the supervisors vote, county residents will have the opportunity to comment on the plan.

Next year’s budget includes $13 million to help the sheriff’s office comply with a court order stemming from a 2013 racial profiling case in which deputies were found to have targeted Latino drivers during routine traffic operations.

The new budget also includes additional funding for the Medical Examiner’s Office. That money will allow for the hire of five more full-time staff members to meet national accreditation requirements.
