The Arizona Department of Transportation and the Federal Highway Administration will be in U.S. District Court today over the Loop 202 extension project.

The agencies will be presenting oral arguments as the judge considers motions for a summary judgement in a lawsuit seeking to stop the project. If granted, the judgement would put an end to the lawsuit before it goes to trial.

The proposed Loop 202 expansion would connect Interstate 10 at Pecos Road in Chandler and 59^th Avenue in Phoenix.
