DPS: Rubbernecking Is Distracted Driving, Too
The recent legislative session included more efforts to put a clamp on distracted driving, especially by teenage drivers who are new behind the wheel. But despite a renewed push for legislation, there wasn’t any progress.
But the State Department of Public Safety is focusing on you — especially if you’re not focused on the road in front of you, and instead are looking at your phone or rubbernecking to check out an accident.
