Sacramento mayor and former Phoenix Suns star Kevin Johnson is applauding the actions of NBA Commissioner Adam Silver against Donald Sterling, the owner of the Los Angeles Clippers. Sterling was suspended for life, after making racially insensitive comments to a former girlfriend.

KJ says the quick, decisive decision was the right approach.

“When we say one family, yes we talk about the owners, yes we talk about the players, yes we talk about elected officials but at the end of the day, the fans are the lifeblood,” Johnson said.

Johnson is heading a search committee for a new Executive Director of the NBA Player’s Association. He says the players support the commissioner’s decision and the potential forced sale of the Clippers.
