Marines form F35-B squadron in Yuma

November 19, 2012

The Marine Corps is forming the first squadron of pilots to fly the next-generation F-35B fighter jet in Yuma. So far two veteran pilots have been trained to fly the aircraft.

They'll become the first members of Marine Fighter Attack Squadron 121 at a ceremony tomorrow at the Marine Corps Air Station in Yuma. The Marines are the first in the U.S. military to put the planes into operation.
