Mesa police say they have arrested 16 suspects in connection with a pawn shop that was allegedly selling stolen property.

Det. Steve Berry says they began looking at the Easy Pick n’ Pawn Shop in October after the owner was found with a stolen gun during a traffic stop.

“They weren’t doing very many actual pawns at all, but they were buying thousands of items of stolen property from various criminals who were burglarizing homes and businesses,” Berry said.

He says they recovered numerous stolen items including TVs, Blu-ray players, cell phones, laptops, numerous guns and some vehicles.
