Dana Naimark discussed the priorities for child protection.

After a brief detour as House Republicans disagreed with Senate Republicans, including Senate President Andy Biggs, the bodies agreed on a budget and are waiting for Gov. Jan Brewer to decide whether to sign or veto the bills.

Funding for the new Child Protective Services agency was perceived to be a slam dunk, but not knowing exactly what the agency will encompass has left the final numbers in doubt. Dana Naimark, president and CEO of Childrens Action Alliance, talked about priorities for child protection and the possibility of a special legislative session.

Tom Jenney, Arizona director of Americans for Prosperity, also discussed the state budget.
