Our panelists tell three stories about someone ignoring all the warning signs while reaching for the stars, one of which is true.
Are Performance Enhancing Drugs A Thing Of The Past?
Have performing-enhancing drugs changed baseball forever? We are not suggesting a debate to stir up in the bleachers, although I don't see anything wrong with doing that. It’s a question four experts will discuss next week at an event put on by Zolcalo Public Square. The discussion will ask whether PEDs are in baseball’s past or if they will be a part of the game into the future.
One of those panelists is writer Jane Leavy. She has written biographies of Sandy Koufax and Mickey Mantle, among other things. So, I posed the question to her.
