Kingman Council Deadlocked On HandHeld Devices While Driving

After considering a ban on using handheld devices while driving, the Kingman City Council has deadlocked on the proposed ordinance.

According to the Kingman Daily Miner, some opponents of the measure thought the ban unfairly targeted people using such phones when there are other distractions while driving.

Supporters felt the ban didn’t go far enough or was too broad.
Kingman’s city attorney will have to rework the ordinance before it can again go before the council.
