McCain: A Deal Must Be Reached To Stop Atrocities In Syria
The second round of peace talks aimed at ending the Syrian civil war appears to be stalling. Sen. John McCain told CNN the Syrian government is continuing to commit atrocities and that a deal must be reached to stop them.
“Tell Bashar al-Assad to stop and take measures if necessary,” McCain said. “These horrible barrel bombs that they’re dropping on people, which is just indiscriminate killing.”
McCain also reiterated his position that a failing to act on immigration reform will hurt the GOP.
