President Obama's pick for attorney general would be the first African-American woman in that position. But first, Loretta Lynch needs approval from the Republican-controlled Senate.
Congressional District 9 Republican candidates discuss issues
Republican candidates in Arizona's new Congressional District 9 discussed a number of important issues at a KJZZ-hosted forum Monday night, including illegal immigration, the economy and jobs and health care.
Candidates Travis Grantham, Vernon Parker, Martin Sepulveda and Jeff Thompson participated; candidates Lisa Borowsky, Wendy Rogers and Leah Campos Schandlbauer were invited, but could not attend.
An identical forum will be held for the Democratic candidates on July 25 at the Arizona Historical Society Museum. (Hear it now.)
