Mexico Election Coverage
Photo of Mexican flag being carried by citizensA team of Fronteras: the Changing America Desk reporters traveled along the U.S.-Mexico border this month to investigate how elections south of the border affect the U.S., especially the Southwest.

On July 1, Mexicans will choose 500 members of the lower house of Congress, 128 senators and most importantly, a successor to PAN President Felipe Calderón. There will also be state and municipal elections held in 15 of the country’s 32 states.

Many citizens of the multi-party electorate, especially its youth, are taking to the streets to make their voices heard. Fronteras reporters will share some of their stories and concerns with you -- and tell you how decisions in Mexico may impact your life.

Tune in to hear their stories beginning Monday, June 18 during Morning Edition (3-9 a.m.) and All Things Considered (3-6 p.m.).
