The number of Republicans wanting to be governor of Arizona is up again to a total of eight. Former California Congressman Frank Riggs is touting his experience in Washington along with what he learned running a non-profit that helps charter schools, to get attention in the crowded field, and he is starting with a blast at two of his more well-known Arizona competitors, Secretary of State Ken Bennett and Treasurer Doug Ducey for staying silent as Gov. Jan Brewer mortgaged state buildings to balance the budget. He is not stopping there.

“I wouldn't want to be in the position to try to explain why I remained silent when the current governor and her administration were embracing ObamaCare and Medicaid expansion," said Riggs.

Riggs is not entirely new to Arizona politics, having considered running against Democratic Gov. Janet Napolitano in 2002, before discovering the state constitution required candidates to be a resident for at least five years.
