The politics of immigration are back in the front seat as the presidential race starts to move into high gear.

Last weekend, reality TV star and Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump was in Phoenix continuing with his controversial comments about Mexico and border security. A number of Republicans have tried to distance themselves from trump and Democrats have criticized him openly.

So how important an issue will immigration be in the presidential campaign? Will comprehensive immigration reform return to the discussion?

We talked about those possibilities with Louis DeSipio, a professor of political science and Chicano/Latino studies at the University of California-Irvine.
