The world of politics can be a nasty one, with negative advertising and nearly constant fundraising. But the best in politics are often credited with a dedication to public service along with focused, but creative, policymaking.

Arizona State University's College of Public Service and Community Solutions has teamed up with retired congressman Ed Pastor to create the Ed Pastor Center for Politics and Public Service.

We talked with former representative Pastor and Jonathan Koppell, the dean of ASU's College of Public Service and Community Solutions.
