The Arizona Game and Fish Department has relocated 41 Pronghorn Antelope from New Mexico, to southern Arizona. Spokesman Mark Hart said two dozen antelope were set free south of Elgin, while another 17 are now roaming the San Raphael Valley in the Coronado National Forest.

“They were taken from a grasslands area in New Mexico, a ranch outside of Cimarron, N.M., so we expect they’ll do well," said Hart. "The habitat is essentially the same.”

Hart said the relocation, which was completed Wednesday, was an effort to replenish a dwindling herd of antelope in the area.
