This week marks the 105th anniversary of Father’s Day. It was first celebrated in 1910 in Spokane, Wa.

For baseball-loving dads, few dreams can top the prospect of a son making his way to the big leagues.

KJZZ’s Mark Moran's son Spencer was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays last year. In May, as Spencer was preparing to take the mound for the first time as a pro, Mark traveled to the Rays' extended training camp in Port Charlotte, Fla. with his wife Rechelle and their two daughters, Samantha and Kaylie.

The Moran family has this story in their own words.

This story In Their Own Words was produced by Only A Game’s Gary Waleik.
