The comic strip “Cathy” was extremely popular and impactful for decades, as it explored the life and foibles of a professional woman who was trying to "have it all" in the vernacular of the late 20th century.

The comic ended its run in 2010, but creator Cathy Guisewite returned to public life earlier this year with a book of essays called "Fifty Things That Aren’t My Fault."

She is in the Phoenix metro area Friday for the 40th annual Erma Bombeck Authors luncheon and The Show spoke with her about how she dealt with fame over the course of several decades.
