Tucson is looking to tighten gun regulations.
The city council voted unanimously Tuesday to draft an ordinance requiring residents to report a lost or stolen gun to the Tucson Police Department within 48 hours.
The measure still needs final approval. Violations of the ordinance would be a civil infraction accompanied by fines that could cost thousands.
