U of A to study biodiesel-fueled mining

Researchers at the University of Arizona have won a $1.4 million grant from the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health. The money will to go to study occupational and environmental health effects of underground mining equipment powered by biodiesel-blend fuels. The new fuels are being used in place of diesel in order to lower pollution exposure.
