KJZZ in Phoenix seeks a Part Time News Reporter/Producer

Job Summary
Writes, produces and develops news stories and audio elements for radio news program(s). Works in the KJZZ radio station and contacts may include administrators, staff, volunteers and the general public. Works in team environment to meet department goals.

Duties
Writes, produces and develops news stories for broadcast; arranges interviews for on-air hosts; produces audio segments; generates stories for broadcast using print, on-line and other resources; edits audio using editing software and other related duties as assigned.

Desired Experience

Strong attention to detail; Ability to work under deadlines in a fast-paced environment; Experience in radio/television/newspaper/magazine producing, reporting and/or editing reports; Strong writing skills; Proficiency in production and writing as demonstrated by the submission of a portfolio containing the most recent stories. Excellent customer service skills; Ability to work independently and prioritize duties; Experience with web publishing preferred.

Please note: this position involves early morning hours during our morning news program.
