Governor Brewer's PAC funds mailers in two more House races

Governor Jan Brewer’s political action committee has jumped into two more Arizona congressional races.

The Center for Responsible Politics says Jan PAC spent about $27,000 on mailers supporting Republican Martha McSally in Congressional District 2. McSally is running to unseat Democrat Ron Barber, who was elected to finish the term of former Congresswoman Gabby Giffords.

Jan PAC has also spent about $36,000 on mailers opposing Democrat Ann Kirkpatrick in Congressional District 1, who’s facing Republican Jonathan Paton.

At last report, Brewer’s political action committee has collected about $600,000 in donations this year. Last week, Jan PAC funded a mailer attacking Democrat Kyrsten Sinema, who’s running in the new Congressional District 9 against Republican Vernon Parker.
