Light rail expansion under way in Mesa

The Valley’s light rail system is nearing its 4th anniversary.

It kicked off service in January 2009, and its first service expansion project is just beginning in Mesa. Utility relocation is underway on a 3.1 mile extension along Main Street, from Sycamore to Mesa Drive. 

Dennis Lambert met with Metro Light Rail CEO Stephen Banta to discuss the system expansion.
