Maricopa Association of Governments welcomes new chair

Avondale Mayor Marie Lopez Rogers talks about being appointed chair of MAG and their plans for regional growth.

Rogers says that MAG will certainly concentrate on air quality and transportation, but human services are also important. She says that residents in the Valley don’t know where city borders end and begin, so it’s important to focus on residents whether they’re from Avondale or Mesa or in between. Rogers says that MAG’s focus needs to be broad, and Maricopa County leaders need to work across borders to help each other.
