Changes coming to Camelback Mountain

The popularity of hiking Camelback Mountain has for years strained relationships between area residents and hikers, but changes are coming that might ease that strain.

The Phoenix Parks and Recreation Board has approved some potential solutions to the parking problems near Camelback Mountain's Echo Canyon. Phoenix Spokesman David Urbanato says the number of parking spaces for the popular hiking trail will be nearly doubled. KJZZ's Morning Edition host Dennis Lambert spoke to Urbanato about the changes coming to the area.
