Opponents of proposed reproductive health laws are planning a protest at the state capitol Wednesday. They call the bills some of the harshest and most dangerous in the country. KJZZ's Paul Atkinson reports.

Planned Parenthood is asking hundreds of supporters to show their opposition to two bills. One would generally ban abortions after 20 weeks of pregnancy and require certain information about them be disclosed to those seeking the procedure. The bill's sponsor says it protects women from what she considers the dangerous practices of the abortion industry.

The second bill would let employers drop contraception coverage for birth control citing religious and other moral objections.

On its website, Planned Parenthood says the Republican controlled legislature is waging a war on women. Dozens of protestors previously came the first day of the legislation session wearing pink t-shirts with an image of an eye and the words "women are watching."
