Fourth Republican enters District 9 congressional race

There’s another candidate in the new congressional District 9 race. Former Paradise Valley Mayor Vernon Parker is the fourth Republican candidate to enter the campaign. Three Democratic candidates are also running. The new district was created following the 2010 Census. This is Parker’s second run for Congress. Two years ago he lost in the District 6 Republican primary. He has served as a member of the Paradise Valley council since 2008, including two years as mayor.
