The Secretary of State’s Office released the first Elections Procedure Manual in years on Friday.

The manual is essentially a handbook governing how elections in Arizona are conducted. Secretary of State Katie Hobbs told KJZZ that county recorders and election directors collaborated on the manual, and now, her office is soliciting feedback from the public.

The manual is important enough on its own, but this also happens to be the first update to the manual since 2014.

Attorney Roopali Desai has extensive experience in state election law, and she joined The Show to tell us more about what this manual means.
