Senator Jeff Flake proposed new
legislation Tuesday in response to revelations the Internal Revenue Service applied
stricter standards to conservative groups seeking tax-exempt status during the
last election cycle.
Victims of gun violence gathered Thursday outside Senator Jeff Flakeās Phoenix office. They pleaded with the senator to explain his recent vote against background checks for gun sales.
Senator Jeff Flake has been criticized by many on the left for his vote against expanded background checks for gun sales. He's also been hit hard by conservatives for being part of the Gang of Eight's efforts on comprehensive immigration reform.
