House Republicans vote to end loan guarantees for renewable energy projects

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed a bill eliminating government loan guarantees for renewable energy projects, but the law isn’t likely to make it through the Senate.

Pinal County Sheriff cleared of abuse of power charges

Pinal County Sheriff Paul Babeu has been cleared in an investigation into whether he abused his authority. Earlier this year, Sheriff Babeu’s former boyfriend Jose Orozco revealed Babeu is gay and claimed Babeu threatened him with deportation.

Polls opened at 6 a.m. Tuesday morning, and will remain open until 7 p.m. for voters to cast a ballot in several races.
