At 19 Philadelphia pianist Kenny Barron moved to New York and in his twenties recorded with Dizzy Gillespie and Joe Henderson.  Since then Stan Getz has recorded with him and called him his soul mate, and Kenny has led many of his own groups.  He taught piano and harmony at Rutgers for 25 years and today teaches at Julliard.  At 69 Kenny Barron is still a master of performance and harmony.  Hear jazz piano master Kenny Barron tonight on K-Jazz.
