and it reached another milestone at Friday’s closing bell. Analysts say the surging housing market had something to do
with it.
U.S. home prices increased nearly 4 percent between July 2011 and July 2012, according to a private realty tracking firm. But in Arizona, gains were well above the national average.
A new report shows the Valley's housing market is continuing a strong push toward recovery. Analysts at Clear Capital say prices were up almost 9 percent in the last quarter.
The Valley’s housing market is starting to pick back up. But some experts say one part of that market is poised for a big comeback in the next few years, especially in parts of Phoenix and the East Valley. KJZZ’s Mark Brodie reports.
