The federal government is telling hundreds of counties across the country it wants some money back. The U.S. Forest Service says it has to cut its budget by five percent because of sequestration, and that could mean several counties in Arizona could lose hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Officials say visitors will see long lines at Grand Canyon National Park entrances this summer because of federal budget cuts. 

At its final meeting, the current Glendale City Council did not vote on a major budget cut. Members voted to table a proposal to trim $6 million – which would mean about 64 full time jobs. 

The City of Glendale is threatening up to 20 million dollars in cuts if voters approve a ballot initiative that would roll back a tax hike.
