After initially saying it was a private letter and would not be shared with the public, Arizona Governor Jan Brewer's office released a copy of the letter she wrote to President Barack Obama. The release late Thursday afternoon fulfilled widespread requests to read the letter, which many argued was a matter of public record.

The last bill sponsored by Congressman Gabrielle Giffords will heard in the U-S House of Representatives this morning.  The measure toughens penalities for those caught smuggling drugs across the border in ultralight aircraft. 

“Secure our border” is a common refrain from some elected officials discussing immigration reform.   But KJZZ Commentator Julie Erfle says it’s time for them to start discussing real solutions.

The recent change in immigration policy means 300,000 deportation cases will be reviewed.
