The FBI has been conducting a massive child sex trafficking sting across the country over the last few days. Some of the children being victimized were from Phoenix. The enforcement operation involved 47 FBI divisions across the country and led to the recovery of 105 children who had been forced into prostitution.

Governing Board members of Pima Community College will have to attend workshops and retreats to learn how to do their jobs, even though most have held office for more than a decade. The Arizona Daily Star reports the college has been put on probation, after a recent investigation found sweeping problems at the school, including corrupt hiring and contracting practices and the mishandling of sexual harassment claims.

The documentary film 'Blackfish,' about Tilikum, the now infamous orca responsile for three deaths while in captivity at Sea World, opened in limited release this weekend.  The film looks at the death of a Sea World trainer in 2010 and shows orcas being captured, as babies.

A box of items donated to the Kiwanis Club in Carefree became a problem Saturday, when a grenade was found inside. The donation was brought to a fire station and Sheriff's Office spokesman Chris Hegstrom says deputies took it from there.

Officials say northern Yavapai County was pelted with four inches of rain in many areas.  Emergency Management Coordinator Denny Foulk says as a result, flooding became a big problem. “Flooding into the Kaibab Estates and Coconino County and into Ashfork itself,” Foulk said.

Gays who marry legally elsewhere may not get the state of Arizona to recognize their unions, but last month's Supreme Court ruling, which struck down parts of the Defense of Marriage Act, says the federal government has to honor decisions in states where gay marriage is legal.

A Texas resident, missing for two days and three nights on Mt. Lemmon, north of Tucson, has been located safe and sound. 54-year-old Scott Bertrand was found Sunday morning, after sheriff's deputies were able to use GPS coordinates from a cell phone to locate him, according to Pima County Sheriff's Office spokesman Jesus Banuelos.

 The Arizona Department of Weights and Measures says a recent audit of gas stations showed a 17-percent failure rate when they checked the accuracy of nozzles on fuel pumps at over 1,800 retailers.

A group of nurses is asking the state health department to add post-traumatic stress disorder to the list of ailments that can be treated with medical marijuana. A similar effort failed last year. The health department considers new petitions every six months.

A new location and new policies were part of opening training day for the Arizona Cardinals Friday.  The team will now be practicing at the University of Phoenix Stadium instead of at NAU. (Photo by Sarah Beckman-KJZZ) For 25 years the Cardinals trained at Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, but now the team will practice where it plays its regular season games, at the University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale.
