Flagstaff is closing in on a record rainfall for July. It is just 0.02 inches of rain away from tying the wettest July on record. The current mark for precipitation was set in 1919, with 7.58 inches of rainfall.

It is common knowledge that eating health and exercising can help you maintain a good weight, but many are unaware that chemicals in the products we buy and use can be a factor. Kathleen Schuler of the Institute for Agriculture and Trade Policy said an emerging body of science links increased risk of obesity to chemicals that disrupt hormones, especially during prenatal life and in childhood.

First responders from several agencies in northern Arizona said they were amazed nobody was injured when a tour bus entered a flooded wash near Dolan Springs and was swept about 300 yards downstream where it flipped onto its side.

A man who died after striking his head as he jumped off a cliff near Tanque Verde Falls near Tucson has been identified as 29-year-old Richard Baker. Witnesses said the man never surfaced after the jump and was pulled from the water by his friends.

Toll road opponents launched a petition drive Monday to prevent what they say would be motorists paying twice to drive on the same highway. Al Tracy said building new toll roads is one thing, but converting high occupancy vehicle lanes into toll lanes on Valley highways is another.

Arizona's top health official says a remote community long dominated by a polygamist sect is responsible for much of a recent increase in whooping cough in the state.  Department of Health Services Director Will Humble says Arizona has seen an increase of more than 300 percent in the past several years.

A tour bus driver may be charged under Arizona’s “Stupid Motorist Law” after he and 33 passengers were caught in a flooded wash Sunday. The group was headed from the Grand Canyon to Las Vegas when the driver entered the wash.

Online retailer Amazon is hiring a few hundred people for its operations in the Phoenix area. It is part of Amazon’s effort to create 5,000 new positions nationwide. Officials with Amazon say the new hires are needed to meet increasing customer demand.

Dive teams continued to search Bartlett Lake Monday for the body of a man went into the water Sunday and never resurfaced. It was not immediately known who the victim was, but today the family of former Major League Baseball pitcher Frank Castillo told KVIA El Paso in a statement that it was Castillo who drowned in the lake.
