A mistake in the 2010 U.S. Census is forcing Yuma officials to alter their proposed budget for the next fiscal year. The Yuma Sun reports the Census mistakenly counted the population of a 2,400-inmate state prison as being in Yuma.

2,700 pages of documents relating to Jared Loughner’s rampage were

The number of people dying in motorcycle crashes continues to go up in Arizona, according to the state’s annual statistics on roadway fatalities that came out Monday. Last year, 139 people in Arizona were killed on motorcycles.

Latino voter turnout is still lagging behind other ethnic
groups, according to a new study from the PEW Research Center. Despite rapid
growth of eligible voters since the last election, only 48 percent of Latinos
went to the polls in 2012.

A new large-scale renewable energy project is coming to
Arizona. Interior Secretary Sally Jewell announced Monday details of the
Quartzsite Solar Project, and two other solar plants in Nevada. When built, Jewell
said they are expected to generate enough electricity to power nearly 200,000 homes.
