Authorities in northwestern Arizona are investigating dozens of brush fires intentionally set in Kingman in the past few months. Investigators said 63 brush fires have been set in open fields along roadways.

The National Weather Service has a Red Flag Warning for signifying high fire danger in parts of northern Arizona through Thursday night. Meterologist Dave Vonderhide said visitors to national forests and recreational areas are urged not to start open-flame fires.

Arizona continues to put the housing crisis in its rearview mirror. The foreclosure monitoring firm RealtyTrac said there were 3,800 foreclosure filings in the state during May. Vice President Darren Blomquist said that is closer to normal than to the peak of the housing crisis.

Firefighters continues to battle a wildfire that has been burning in the Coronando National Forest.Spokesman Gerry Perry said the Chino Fire has charred over 50 acres but is now more than 50 percent contained since being spotted on Tuesday.

As temperatures rise on the Arizona desert, Border Patrol agents say they are getting more and more calls about undocumented immigrants, in trouble.  Spokesman Brent Cagen said agents have assisted 177 people in the last 30 days, 52 of them in the past week.
